“I have a Christian Prudhomme (tour director) on the phone on stage. He included the prefect to tell us that bikes were found in the afternoon”, Vasseur told France TV after the end of the third stage.

Jacques Anquettil, a native Rouen and five times won the touris remembered by a monument at the Côte Jacques Anquetl Climb, which is included in the route today.
