OWalking with my kids, now in their mid-20s, I asked them what they remembered from their summer holidays at school. I was hoping to hear about the Fiesta we witnessed in the heat of Tarifa, Spain, or bererated at the time I booked early flights to Crete, leaving us sitting in a resort’s waiting room from 4:00 to check-in time.
I was amazed at (and slightly comforted), then, to hear my son say: “Our books in Tag -hot – at that time we collected all the random things, brought them home and hid it in a book.” He was glad we hid them.
My daughter said: “Soup on the beach.” We stayed at The Isles of Scilly (one of our favorite destinations), and promised them a fire by the sea on our last night. Of course, by the time we got here, the night was falling-and with the temperature-and the poor four-year-old Lulu was tired and cold. We wrapped her in a blanket, rubbed her on a rock and gave her a mug of soup heated soup-and watched as the color returned to her cheeks.

The point of this (rather sentimental) reminiscent is to show that you do not need expensive foreign holidays or journeys to the recreational parks for your children to have a good tag -warm. It is the low-key moments that tend to stay with us-and they can be as simple as a fun craft activity or a makeshift food under the stars. Sure, longing for a beach in Algarve for a week or two is what keeps parents passing through the winter months, but starting 4am for the ferry or the queen control line can begin to remove the benefits of a holiday.
If you are looking for ways to entertain your children during the holidays but unfortunately not only can the tools drop and remove the sun, read our guide to the holidays in the Tag -hot. It includes many ideas for cheap activities to do around your home or garden, from developing den-forming to art and creations, as well as short and longer days. We also have the best garden games for kids of all ages.
Never feel guilty about excluding your kids for the whole school summer holidays, or for funny to them with low cost activities. Sometimes, the simplest activities have become their most unforgettable.
