UKraine and the European allies summarize for the worst when Donald Trump won the second term. But the size of his surrender to Russia’s invasion was still surprised at them. On Wednesday, the nearly three years of Vladimir Putin’s separation of the West was damaged by his 90-minute, “highly productive” conversation with Mr. Trump. Joe Biden called the President of Russia a deadly dictator; Mr. Trump praised Mr. Putin’s invasion of invasion toward Ukraine as “genius”, days before the entire aggression of 2022. Today, two great plannings in plan-without consideration in Ukraine, Europe or even Mr. Trump’s own envoy of Ukraine.
Forget the integrity of the territory. US secretary of the US Defense Pete Hegsetth, described the return to Ukraine’s pre-2014 boundaries as “unrealistic” and “an unknown purpose”. Forget about NATO’s Ukrainian members: “I don’t think it’s practical … I’m fine there,” Mr. Trump declared. Forget our support: it’s up to European countries and others to provide any vibrant force, the secretary of the US defense is clearly clear. Security in Europe is no longer a major focus for the US, Mr. Hegsetth added-and that’s the toned-down version.
Mr. Trump has released the notion that Ukraine is “Russian can be Russian”. Now he also does not lack interest in Kyiv’s views. Mr. Trump believes that when the US kills the faucet, Ukraine and Europe will be forced to get whatever he and Mr. Putin cook. Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, told the Guardian this week that “security guarantee without America is not a real security guarantee”. Mr. Trump is not the only one who has been Mr. Zelenskyy but he is further overthrown by pushing Russia’s narrative that the election should be on the way.
Regardless of what Ukraine said to the public, it understood that NATO membership was never close and certainly expect some concessions in the territory, however bitter after excessive sacrifice. But Mr. Trump has given way to Russian requests before reaching the negotiation table. This is similar to the art of surrender than the art of dealing. Mr. Putin, however, has no invention. The last thing he wanted was the forces of NATO members on earth in Ukraine. Dragging the conversations may allow funding for Kyiv to dry and domestic grumbling in Ukraine to Morph in politics, while Russia is making further progress in the battlefield.
The failure of Mr. Trump’s conversations with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un showed how his rhetoric could run against the truth. Some have suggested that his self-old will prevent him from fixing for a deal in which Russia clearly prevails. Perhaps he can still be able to get to another exit if someone finds a appeal to his futility. But regardless of the outcome, Mr. Trump will surely declare it.
For Ukraine, and others in the region, this is an existing war. For others – including the US – it’s about containing and slowing down a angry power, despite sincere compassion and major statements about defense of democracy. It is not just Ukraine that the bell of the bell is now heard. Despite the fear that European domestic politics tends to be far from stable support for KYIV, Thursday’s strong response to the US from European countries, including Britain, is welcome. They should assert that they, such as Ukraine, must be part of any negotiation, to express their commitment to the sovereignty and integrity of the territory, and to emphasize their willingness to enhance support. Mr. Trump left Ukraine. Others were both wrong and reckless to follow the suit.
